To my 2020 Seniors:

I cannot believe that the season as come to an end after only 7 games.... This is tough to grasp for everyone I am sure, and trying to find a silver lining amongst everything is tough to do for sure, because we should be getting ready for league play and our annual trip to SD for Spring Break...

 

We have lost practice and games due to rain and fires, but nothing like COVID-19 has done to the entire World and our Nation. One thing it is for sure doing is making us appreciate everything so much more. Not wasting any moment like a workout, practice, games, paying attention in a class, being friedly with others and just hanging out with your teammates. When we get the opportunity to do all of that again, DO NOT WASTE THOSE OPPORTUNITIES!!! 

 

To think that my last time on the field with my 2020 players was trying to get the field ready with rain in the forecast on March 12th to play Poly. I mowed the field and striped the lines while all of you laid down turface in various spots, then re-tarped the plate and mound just to have it rain about 40minutes later and game was cancelled. Then on Friday March 13th, getting the word that we are done for a minimall of two weeks and now school year pretty much all on-line. Was really hoping to come back for trip to SD or at the very least get our 10 league games in, but did not. There are other states that had not even started their season's yet and now do not get the chance to play at all, so at least we played those 7 games!  

 

Here is what I have always asked of you guys and even more important now, because there really is no excuse for not getting it done with all the time we have on our hands, GET YOUR WORK DONE FOR SCHOOL!!!! Stay on top of your academics and stay in shape as well! 

 

Not sure how long this layoff will last, but we will definitley get something done for the 2020 class!
